The four leading chambers of commerce and industry associations—the All-China Federation of Automobiles and Motorcycles (Motorcycle) Parts Industry Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Automobile Parts Markets, the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile Auto Parts Industry Chamber of Commerce, and the Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce and Industry Auto Accessories Industry Chamber of Commerce—have partnered with Huacheng International Exhibition Company. Together, they are organizing the largest export trade fair for the Chinese automotive industry: CAEF 2004 China (Guangzhou) Automobile and Parts Products Export Fair and China (Guangzhou) Motorcycle Export Fair. This event will be held twice a year, in spring and autumn, alongside the Canton Fair. With an exhibition area exceeding 70,000 square meters, the fair will showcase a wide range of products, including auto and motorcycle parts, accessories, electric vehicles, and bicycles. It aims to fill the gap left by the limited space available at the annual Canton Fair for automotive exhibitions. The event is expected to significantly boost the export opportunities for Chinese auto industry companies and support the broader development of the sector. Approved by the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province and the Administration of Industry and Commerce of Guangdong Province, the fair has also received strong backing from the Tianhe District People’s Government of Guangzhou. With the Chinese government lowering the threshold for foreign trade enterprises, more companies are seeking international markets. While the Canton Fair remains the "China's first exhibition," its resource limitations have made it difficult for many auto companies to participate, limiting their exposure and growth. To address this, the new fair aims to provide more businesses with access to global buyers. Over 95% of attendees come from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, but there is still untapped potential in developed markets like Europe and the United States. To tap into these regions, the organizers plan to engage in interactive programs at major international auto shows such as those in Frankfurt, Las Vegas, Munich, and Russia. They will also send delegations to global exhibitions and collaborate with foreign industry organizations. The fair’s strategic advantages include timing, location, and resources. Held during the Spring and Autumn Fairs, it benefits from the same high-traffic period as the Canton Fair. The venue, located at the Huacheng International Convention and Exhibition Center, is just five minutes from the new Canton Fair Pazhou Complex, allowing seamless interaction with existing buyers. In terms of media coverage, HC Network, China Auto Parts Network, Global Auto Parts Purchasing Network, and over 60 industry publications will all be involved. Additionally, the Wenzhou Auto & Motorcycle Accessories Association will join discussions on future collaborations. The fair is already seeing strong interest, with 70% of Hall A booked for the first phase, prompting organizers to open the second floor of Hall A and B. The All-Automobile and Motorcycle Dealers Association is actively mobilizing members nationwide, and booth bookings are currently tight. On the international buyer side, the organizers have reached out to the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association, the Brazilian Auto Parts Association (OEM), and delegations from Poland, Denmark, Ghana, Indonesia, Nigeria, Iran, and Turkey. These groups have expressed interest in attending the event for procurement and collaboration. More than 1,000 well-known foreign vehicle companies, auto parts suppliers, and purchasing groups have also been invited. Additionally, the Trade Fair Exporters Club has been launched, offering participating companies free membership. Members will receive tailored export solutions, access to global buyer communities, and exclusive business magazines, online services, and CD-ROMs. Special buyer summits will also be organized. During the event, the 2004 China Huacheng International Automobile Model Selection Competition will take place, aiming to identify top marketing talents and enhance the fair’s visibility within the industry. This event marks a significant step forward for the Chinese automotive industry, offering a platform where manufacturers, traders, foreign buyers, and industry organizations can meet in Guangzhou. It represents a bold move to build global dialogue and strengthen the international presence of Chinese auto parts companies.
