Recently, we received a call from a customer who was confused about the color of our PAG 46 compressor oil. This product is a popular replacement for Ultra Coolant and other leading brands, and it’s one of our most trusted grades. As shown in the image provided, our PAG 46 oil has a clean, yellowish-amber tint.
However, the customer had a different experience. They mentioned that the oil they were using in their compressor was completely black. Upon further investigation, we learned that their compressor distributor had recently changed the oil, but the sample they tested was heavily contaminated. The technician had used old, used oil instead of fresh lubricant, which could have led to serious damage.

*"They had a service guy come out Friday and confirmed the coolant should be light. I got a picture of the OEM coolant they put in there. He did grab the old used coolant. He should have known better. See the picture of the old oil he put in."*
