This is from Dan McInerney:

A 2012 Ford F-450 chassis with a 2013 Medtec Type I ambulance is now in service as Ambulance 613, based out of Station 1. This new unit has replaced the older 614, which was a 2003 Ford E-450 chassis with a 2004 Type III Wheeled Coach ambulance. The transition marks an upgrade in equipment and capabilities for the Oak Park Fire Department's emergency response fleet.

The new ambulance represents a shift in the department’s strategy, moving toward more modern and versatile Type I configurations. It’s great to see how the department continues to evolve its fleet to better serve the community. These photos give a good look at the vehicle and its placement within the station. If you're interested in more updates or details about the fleet, feel free to check back later.
