Hey everyone,
I just came across some interesting updates on the Chicago Fire Department's latest fleet additions. Drew Gresik shared this info, and I wanted to pass it along. Here’s what he had to say:
> "Just thought I’d share, here’s the first of the new ambulances in the Chicago Fire Department’s updated fleet. This one is shop number C154, and I believe it’s a 2013-14 Ford E-450 paired with a Wheeled Coach. It’s been assigned to Ambulance 13. These images are from Fire Service Inc.’s Facebook page."
The accompanying photos really give you a great look at the new rig. The first image shows the driver’s side of the ambulance. It looks sharp and modern, exactly what you'd expect from a state-of-the-art vehicle designed for emergency response. Fire Service Inc. did an excellent job capturing the details.
Then there’s a rear view that highlights the overall design and layout. You can see how spacious and well-equipped these vehicles are, which is crucial for their mission. The last photo gives a full-frontal view of the ambulance, showing off its clean lines and professional appearance.
Thanks to Dennis for sharing additional insights as well. It’s always exciting to see how cities like Chicago are upgrading their emergency services. These new ambulances not only reflect technological advancements but also ensure faster and more efficient responses to emergencies.
If anyone has more details or knows when the rest of the fleet will be rolling out, feel free to chime in. I’ll keep an eye out for further updates!
Take care,
