July 25, 2019 was such an exciting day for our family! We had the incredible opportunity to visit Fire Station No. 1 during our trip to Chicago. From the moment we arrived, the duty officer greeted us with such warmth and friendliness. It was truly heartwarming to see how passionate and dedicated the firefighters were as they shared stories about their work, the advanced technology they use, and the rigorous training involved in their profession. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and we learned so much from the insightful conversations we had.
We are incredibly grateful for the time they took to welcome us and answer all our questions. It’s moments like these that make travel so memorable—getting to experience something unique and connecting with locals in such a meaningful way.
