Recently, the transportation construction science and technology project “Investigation and Demonstration of Water Resources Circulation Comprehensive Utilization Technology of Inland Ports” passed the acceptance test. The project system proposed a complete set of technology for comprehensive utilization of water resources in the port, which can greatly improve the water environment safety of the port and the sustainable use of water resources. .

The project is based on the rapid development of China's domestic river port construction, the increasing pollution of water environment, and the shortage of water resources in some areas of the Yangtze River and Xiangjiang River Basin. It is undertaken by the Tianjin Institute of Water Transport Engineering, Ministry of Transport. Through two years of research, the project has made new breakthroughs in the comprehensive utilization technology of port water resources.

The project carried out innovative research and development of port water quality assurance, water pollution prevention and control, and key technologies for water resources recycling, and proposed water quality and water quality control technologies and methods for rainwater harvesting and utilization in the port area; and developed a treatment process for port characteristic wastewater. The key process parameters were determined; the water reuse treatment process suitable for the scale and water quality characteristics of the inland river port was developed; the water pipe network dispatching system in the port area and the leakage prediction model of the pipe network were constructed, which provided analytical control for operation management. The research results have been applied in the design and construction of Changsha Xiagang Port and Tianjin Port, providing technical support for the comprehensive utilization of port water resources, achieving remarkable economic and social benefits, and broad application prospects.
