An automatic lubrication system (ALS), commonly known as a centralized lubrication system, is designed to deliver controlled amounts of lubricant to multiple points on a machine while it's in operation. These systems are typically automated, but even those requiring manual activation are still considered centralized lubrication systems. A standard system includes a controller/timer, pump with reservoir, supply lines, distributors/metering valves, and feed lines.
