Heavy-duty material racks are essential components in stamping and shearing lines, positioned at the beginning of the production process. These systems are designed to efficiently unwind and discharge sheet metal rolls, ensuring smooth and continuous operation on the production line.

For standard rolls, a conventional heavy-duty material rack is sufficient. However, for heavier materials weighing over 2 tons, a hydraulic heavy-duty material rack is necessary to handle the increased load safely and effectively.

The hydraulic heavy-duty material frame consists of several key components: a sturdy frame, a shrinking and reeling drum, a press arm, a motor, a cycloidal pin reducer, a hydraulic system, an electric control box, and optionally a loading trolley. This system operates as a vertical cantilever unwinding device, where an AC variable frequency motor drives the cycloidal pin reducer via belt drive, enabling controlled expansion and contraction of the reel.

The feeding process involves placing the material roll on the loading trolley, sliding it along the base rail using a handle console car, and utilizing proximity switches for automatic alignment with the expansion and contraction drum. This ensures seamless and accurate feeding of the material into the production line.

The hydraulic heavy-duty material frame features a quadrangular pyramid structure with a 14° taper slope. The tail end of the reel is equipped with a rotary cylinder and a rotary seal, connected to the hydraulic station through high-pressure oil pipes. The reducer is a two-stage welded box type cycloidal pin reducer, while the press arm is made of polyurethane and controlled by a cylinder. The up-and-down reel is supported by four A-type gears, ensuring precise positioning and stability.

1. Heavy-Duty Frame Body:
The frame is constructed from profiled steel, A3 steel plate, and #45 steel forged bearing blocks. All welded surfaces are finely ground, and after welding, the bearing holes are processed through annealing and stress relief. The backplate is machined using a CNC center to ensure tight assembly and durability.

2. Shrinking and Reeling Drum Assembly:
The expansion and contraction reel includes a main shaft, backrest wheel, quadrangular pyramid shaft, fan-shaped pallets, tie rods, expansion and contraction cylinders, and a rotary joint. The main shaft is a 40Gr round steel drill with a 85mm diameter through-hole, finished with ultrasonic flaw detection, quenching, tempering, and nitriding treatment. The drawbar and support plates are made from 42CrMo alloy steel forgings, heat-treated after finishing to enhance strength and longevity.

3. Motor and Reducer Assembly:
The main motor is directly connected to the cycloidal pin reducer, driven by a belt. The transmission system is protected by a cover, and speed control is managed by a Delta frequency converter, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

4. Hydraulic System Assembly:
The hydraulic system includes a hydraulic station, pressure maintaining valve, pressure oil pipes, rotary joint, and expansion and contraction cylinders. All hydraulic components are sourced from reputable Taiwanese brands, ensuring reliability and performance. The expansion and contraction cylinder pulls the wedge-shaped slider, adjusting the reel’s function for optimal performance.
