± 1100 kV UHV DC Converter Converter Transformer will achieve "Made in Xinjiang", the world's highest voltage converter transformer will be officially put into operation by the end of the year. Recently, Zhang Xin, party secretary and chairman of TBEA Co., Ltd. disclosed at the press conference that ± 1100kV UHV transformer will be used as the core power transmission equipment for the quasi-East-East China (Wannan) ± 1100kV HVDC transmission project. Its R & D, production and manufacturing are completed by TBEA. Zhang Xin said that the world is using the highest voltage level converter transformer is ± 800 kV, ± 1200 kV UHV transformer is in the experimental stage. It is understood that the quasi-east-east China (Wannan) ± 1100 kV UHV DC transmission project is the world's highest voltage level, the largest transmission capacity, transmission distance furthest, the most advanced technical level of UHV transmission project. The project plans to invest 40.7 billion yuan, will be completed and put into operation in 2018. The starting point of the transmission line is Changji, passing through Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Henan and Anhui provinces and finally to Xuancheng, Anhui. In the meantime, two new converter stations will be built, including Zhundong and Wannan, with a conversion capacity of 24 million kilowatts and a total length of 3,324 kilometers of engineering lines. Zhang Xin said that the project is the implementation of "Xinjiang Power Transmission" second UHV transmission project, for promoting the development of Xinjiang's energy base, to ensure reliable supply of electricity in East China, stimulating economic growth, achieving green development is of great significance. According to accounting, ± 800 kV DC transmission project, the furthest transport distance up to 3000 km, can deliver 10 million kilowatts of electricity; ± 1100 kV DC transmission project, the furthest transport distance up to 5000 km, transmission capacity up to 14 million kilowatt.
